Concrete Worktops UK - Bespoke, Handmade in Yorkshire
Bespoke Concrete Worktops for Kitchens, Islands & Interiors
We design and manufacture bespoke concrete worktops for kitchens, islands and commercial spaces across the UK. Each concrete worktop is handmade in our Yorkshire workshop using high-performance mixes for durability, heat resistance and a refined finish suited to everyday use.
Concrete Worktops vs Quartz, Granite & Laminate
Concrete worktops offer a balance of durability, flexibility and natural character that sets them apart from standard kitchen surfaces.
- Durability – Comparable to granite and quartz when sealed professionally.
- Maintenance – Simple day-to-day cleaning with mild soapy water and a soft cloth will keep your worktops in great condition.
- Heat resistance – Handles heat well in normal kitchen use, unlike laminate which can easily damage.
- Cost – Similar to high-end quartz or granite, reflecting the bespoke, made-to-order process.
- Aesthetic – Each piece is unique, with subtle variation in tone and texture that can’t be replicated by manufactured materials.

The Process (Simple Overview)
Each concrete worktop is made to order using a hands-on process developed in our workshop:
1. Templating
We create a physical template on-site using 3mm plywood strips and hot glue to accurately capture walls, angles and dimensions.
2. Casting & Finishing
Worktops are cast in our workshop using high-performance concrete, then carefully processed and sealed.
3. Installation
Delivered and installed with care, ensuring a clean fit and consistent finish.

Concrete Worktop FAQs
Are concrete kitchen worktops durable?
Yes. We use high-performance concrete designed for strength and longevity in everyday kitchen environments.
Do concrete worktops stain?
All concrete is sealed before leaving our workshop. The sealer helps resist staining, but like all natural materials, care is still required.
Like natural stone, concrete worktops may benefit from periodic resealing to maintain protection, typically after around 5–7 years depending on usage. We also offer a professional concrete worktop resealing service.

Are concrete worktops heavy?
Concrete worktops are substantial, but we use GFRC (glass fibre reinforced concrete) to reduce weight while maintaining strength. Most installations are suitable for standard residential settings.
Can concrete worktops crack?
Hairline movement can occur over time, as with many natural materials. Our UHPC mixes and reinforcement methods are designed to minimise this and ensure long-term performance.
Is each worktop the same?
No. Variation in tone, texture and small surface details are part of the material and process. This is what gives concrete its unique character.

Templating & Accuracy
|
For most projects, we create a physical template on-site to ensure a precise fit.
Using 3mm plywood strips and a hot glue method, we form an exact outline of your worktops directly in your kitchen. This allows us to capture walls, angles and any irregularities accurately. The template is then taken back to our workshop and used to construct the mould, ensuring the finished worktop fits cleanly and consistently once installed. |
Craftsmanship & Installation
All worktops are produced in-house, from mould making through to casting, finishing, and sealing. This allows us to maintain consistent quality and precise control over detailing.
We offer UK-wide delivery and installation, coordinated carefully with your wider project to ensure accurate fitting and minimal disruption.
